1. Introduction

Associo (“Associo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Associo iOS application (“App”). Associo is designed with a privacy-first approach. Most user data remains stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

2. Information We Collect

Associo stores your flashcards, decks, folders, study progress, settings, and related content locally on your device using Apple-provided storage technologies such as Core Data. This information is not transmitted to Associo servers. Associo does not require account creation and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or payment information. Associo does not track your study activity, monitor feature usage, use analytics SDKs, use advertising SDKs, display third-party advertisements, or sell or share user data for marketing purposes.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Associo Pro subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely through Apple’s App Store. We do not receive or store credit card numbers, banking information, billing addresses, or payment credentials. All payment processing is handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies and terms. The App may use Apple’s StoreKit framework to verify subscription status and unlock Pro features. 4. Data Storage and Security

Your Associo data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Associo-operated servers. If iCloud Backup is enabled on your device, Associo data may be included in your device backups through Apple’s iCloud services. This process is controlled entirely by Apple and your iOS settings. Associo may also allow users to export decks or backups as files. You are responsible for where exported files are stored, shared, or transmitted.

5. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access your data, delete your data, request data portability, and know whether personal information is sold or shared. Because Associo does not collect or store personal information on external servers, most user data remains entirely under your control on your device. You may access your data directly within the App and may export supported data using the App’s export features. You may also delete your data at any time by deleting decks or content within the App or by removing the App from your device. Associo does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Children’s Privacy

Associo is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will assist as appropriate.

7. International Users

Associo may be used worldwide. Because user data is generally stored locally on your device, Associo does not generally transfer personal information internationally. However, Apple services such as the App Store or iCloud may involve international data processing governed by Apple’s policies.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we may notify users through the App, App Store updates, or by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
